This interactive area, located near the main entrance, was created aiming to bring children, youngsters and families to the Garden and to awaken their interest and curiosity toward various aspects of the environment and nature. It includes several thematic modules such as the Overlook on the preserve with a binocular; the Scent and Touch Labyrinth, covered by smell plants; the Pollinators Garden, full of flowers attractive to bugs and birds; the Solar Observatory, which registers hours, days and relevant astronomical dates, and an open amphitheater where several activities take place. This area was sponsored by the Save the Laja foundation and is dedicated to her founder’s Susan Porter Smith.
